Vegetable Garden

Our agricultural vegetable garden began in 2007, with two aims: the understanding and refinement of the philosophical and practical methods of biodynamic agriculture and the research and selection of indigenous vegetable varieties that would otherwise be lost.

Olive Groves and Olive Oil

Since beginning the restoration of the agricultural and park areas, several olive groves have been re-discovered within the Tenuta. Extra virgin olive oil was once one of the main products cultivated at the Tenuta and it is estimated that in the past there were 7000 olive trees in production.

Orchard

The Dello Scompiglio Orchard is the most recent of the projects at the Tenuta and is justifiably included within the projects that are developing in our agricultural company.

Landscape

Landscape exemplifies a perceptible synthesis of human activity within a natural context and its place within a cultural environment; the formal appearance of the environment; the land as viewed by society, whose character derives from the effects of natural or human factors and from their infinite interactions.

Forest

The Tenuta encompasses two contrasting situations. One is the age-old park, structured architecturally for this purpose with fountains, water lilies and a wide variety of large, majestic trees.

Studi

La volontà di sperimentare e cercare nuove soluzioni ci conduce, oltre che all’esplorazione delle tecniche di vinificazione per rendere il più fedelmente possibile il senso del luogo e dell’annata attraverso il vino, all’apertura verso tematiche di più ampio respiro attraverso la collaborazione con l’Università di Firenze e l’Università di Pisa.
